Create Targeted, Dynamic URL’s to promote vehicles in 3 simple steps.
If you have a lot of stock to move and would like to laser focus your marketing efforts – this little trick is going to help.
Sitting on your Inventory page is a simple hack that enables you to slice and dice your inventory into nice little segments, and create a targeted Dynamic URL that you can add to any Digital Marketing campaigns, Social Media links, eDM’s and so on.
This hack ensures that customers landing on your website are immediately presented with vehicle listings relevant to their search, streamlining their browsing and selection experience.
Below we’ll take you through the quick steps to create a unique campaign URL to promote a specific brand/make/model of vehicle.
Here’s how it’s done.
Step 1. LOCATE YOUR INVENTORY
Go to your Inventory Listings on your website located under “Our Stock” or “Stock” in the main navigation bar.
Step 2. SELECT YOUR PARAMETERS
Once you’re in your Inventory Listings you’ll see there are many options to choose from within the Selection tool. Go ahead and select the ones you want to highlight.
It’s worth noting, you can use the selection tools to create any type of campaign. From Make/Model to Price range, Body Type (SUV, Ute, Sedan etc) – Engine type, Fuel Type, New, Demo or Used vehicles.
In this instance, we have selected: Make – Subaru.
Then we selected: Model – Forrester.
NOTE: You’ll notice that each time you change your selection, the URL in the browsers address bar also changes to reflect your selections. That URL is what enables the website to serve up a curated and specific list of vehicles to the potential buyer.
Step 3. SELECT THE UNIQUE URL YOU HAVE CREATED
Go to the URL in the Browsers address bar as shown here.
Select and copy that link in full and then use it across your Marketing campaigns to target potential buyers for those specific vehicles.
It’s as easy as that!
